Safety and Approvals
Bio-BUGS is acceptable to be around food preparations due to the bacteria being harmless
and naturally occurring. If it comes into contact with food surfaces wash surface thoroughly.
Bio-BUGS raw materials have been give approval for importation by the Ministry of Primary
Industries and Biosecurity Authority of Fiji
All microbial strains are produced within a Quality Management System that is certified to
ISO standards
Bio-BUGS contains a blend of safe Bacillus micro organisms. All microbes have been
identified to a species level of 16s rDNZ sequencing and confirmed to belong to Biosafety
Level 1, as defined by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and to Risk Group 1 by EU
Directive 2000/54/EC.
Bio-BUGS contains naturally occurring Bacillus suspended spores with other readily
biodegradable surfactants and effervescent agents.
It will not cause any ill effects to pregnant women, diabetics and the like. It not intended to
be consumed. Prolonged exposure to sensitive skin may cause slight irritation.
There are 5 additional enzymes within the microbial mix designed to deal with fat, oil,
grease, protein and cellulose (toilet paper...)
Bio-BUGS are the next step in the management of Fat, Oil and Grease plus malodours and blockages
into grease trap and sewer systems.
It allows for dosing as required and is extremely cost effective.
